So I'm rolling my windows up today, as the weather is gorgeous here in Atlanta, and they were down while I was cruising. =) Anyway, I'm rolling up my windows using the Auto feature. I flick them both up at the same time, and the pass window goes up fine, but the driver window goes all the way up, and comes down about 6 inches. I hit the driver side window control again, same result. So I do it the old fashioned way next, holding up the control until the window got seated, and it stayed...WTF?! It's done that twice in the last 2 days. Any ideas why??

i have the SAME EXACT PROBLEm. its so random. some days it will be fine others it wont stop doing it. WHen i go in for my oil change tomorrow im going to point it out to infiniti. Ill let you know hwat happens

I had a similar issue for the first time in a year the other day. D/S window went up but then came back down a few inches. Did that twice and then closed properly.
I figure it's the regulator going out of wack momentarily. Seems to be fine now. If it returns, I'll have the dealer look at it.

it happens to me too. i dont know what it is. it happened alot when i got first got the car back in nov 2002, and it sees to have stopped for a while. but it still happens occassionally. another problem i get is, on auto up, it goes up like 3 inches and stops, click it again, three more inches. over and over until fully closed. it drives me nuts to the point where i want to drive off a cliff. and ofcourse when you take it for service, everything works great.

 

Oh my..this car has more bugs than Microsoft.

Well I havent noticed that window problem but I have a sunroof problem. The sucker is making a like a weird rubbing grinding noise when its closing.

well I have the same problem as well. Took it to the dealer twice and still have the same damm problem. I've also notice a whistling noise come from the top corner of the window. It goes away if I lower the window a little.

i have the sunroof squeaking noise too.

 

I found that if you close the cover, it dampens the noise so you don't here it. I know that sounds dumb. I was thinking of trying silicone lubercant this w/end. Let you know if it works.[img]/w3timages/icons/cool.gif[/img]

I had the same problem with my windows, took it to the dealer and they had to adjust sensors for the window, something to do with the sensor is reading high tension, like something is there and it comes back down. I was told it is there so you won't catch a finger or childs hand.

I had the same problem. I took it to the dealer the first time and they couldnt replicate the problem so they told me to come back when it happened again. I told them it was a intermittent problem but they said to take it back when it happened again anyways. So after 2 months I took it back again and they couldnt replicate the problem again but they ordered me a new window "governor\regulator" anyway and since then my windows have been fine. Great service btw at Miller Infiniti (Van Nuys CA). Talk to Jerome.. he's awesome!
