newport convertibles do custom convertible jobs...they do it for the g35 sports coupe for 11,500.00 for soft top and I believe they use Mercedes Benz droptops.

The 2006 Sports Coupe convertible is rumored to be a hardtop convertible...putting it probably over the $40,000 barrier easy

Im one that firmly believes that we will never see a g35 drop top, but instead a higher priced infiniti model in the 60k range in 07'. Something thats going to run with the BMW 6, Lexus SC430, Merc SL. It only makes sense.

You can't offer a hardtop convertible in the 40k price range, its just not profitable.
