Best I've done was driving to and from Vegas from so-cal... 29.7 MPG round trip.

did about 40 miles of driving in-town, rest was all freeway; averaged faster than 'normal' on freeway.

The best I've milage I've ever gotten from the G was drive from East Bay to LA, and drove around LA for a few days before the light turned on. Don't remember the MPG or total miles... I usually have to fill up right when I get to LA.

I don't have a nav system, I compute my mileage the old fashioned (and only reliable) way - fill up the car, divide the miles driven from the last fill-up by the gallons purchased. I check the mileage every tank and the mileage I cited are pretty consistent - 21 if mostly city and stop and go, 24 with a mix, 27-28 if all cruising on the interstate.

I'm pretty sure the NAV is as accurate. I mean having to fill up my G every week compared to my S2k which is every 2 1/2 weeks proves that my G milelage sucks..

What really sucks is I get between 250 - 375/ tank (depending on hw or city) .... but with my amount of driving, I am filling up almost every other day...

Btw I have 3100 miles on my 30 day old G and counting.

I do all city driving in San Francisco, which has tons of hills.

With my 6MT, I average about 225 per tank.

the 3.5 motor is no work of art it seems
yea it is a 6 cil with almost 300hp but so what...
im only getting 15mpg in city ,,,
I could of had a 400hp v8 in my car and would get about the same mileage or better,,,,,
so really if you consider gas mileage the 3.5 vq motor is a piece of crap.....

As the title of the thread states - it's the driver not the car. I am quite happy with my mileage for this type of car.

You have to remember the all important formula:

Your gas mileage is inversely proportional to the weight of your right foot and the haste in which you seek to achieve terminal velocity.

per nav screen:
avg: 15.5

03 G coupe ~45k miles
bone stock...

I drive pretty aggressively... I do remember in the first couple years I was getting significantly better efficiency, but maybe only because I wasn't so used to the performance and handling.

zero complaints here, just curious what others are seeing on their nav screens for stock coupes and comparing driving habbits.
