Thumbs up NEW Rain X commercial featuring a G35 Coupe

Has anyone seen the new commercial by Rain X for it's Latitude wiper blades? It features a black 03-05 coupe on OEM 17s using the new rain x wiper blades. It's cool to see your car in a commerical. I guess Meguair's Plastix plastic polish is not the only using the G coupe for marketing.

They are ok blades. Im having issues with the drivers side (most important) missing spots when it wipes the water off the window. I removed the bottom end clip like I saw in another thread and tried bending it different ways but I have really got it perfect yet.

That $uck$ specially when they cost so much, $18 per blade seems a little much.

i've heard somebody on here try three different pairs and it always streaked, i guess it's the design.

i have bosch icons, love them. might try valeos next time around heard those are even better. but my icons were about 40 or so together, worth it imo

i got the napa knock off ones of the rain-x. and...well........ not very impressed.they work ok at low speed but at high speed it cant keep up or something. its like it doesnt stay flat on the window and flops around. rain-x and standard blades is the way to go imo.

the bosch icons work beautifully on my g, if they were 40 a piece i would buy them. I have this thing, i cant stand having my window dirty at all...it drives me nuts if someone puts a fingerprint on my windows, so these do a good job on keeping the water off

rainx and wipers works really well too, at high speeds the water just blows right off, and at low speeds the wipers do great

they are a copy of the bosch items

bosch were the first to make the "aerotwin" which have become OEM blades for mercedes and a number of manufacturers.

i put aerotwin blades on my V35 skyline (i'm in australia) yesterday and they work beautifully. drivers side was 600mm long and passenger 450mm long.

why buy a copy when the original isn't that much more expensive?

I have bosch

They worked wonders first couple of months but now they don't any more.

They live trails of water behind. I have to apply rain-x in order to get water off completely.

That's why I love the PIAA blades. I tried the Rain-X blades, and they are junk. After about 6 months they start making all sorts of noise. Well, maybe not completely junk, they are still better than Anco and ExactFit, and all the other el-cheapo blades. Those things always start chattering after just a few weeks. Maybe it just rains too much here, I do'nt know.

I tried the Bosch Icons, they are good, but I still like the PIAAs better. I'll explain why in a bit.

I currently have PIAA blades on my cars now... On my Grand Prix, the PIAA blades have been on there for almost 3 years now, and they still wipe all the water off, and are silent. (And the Pacific NW sees it's fair shair of rain, so they got a lot of use)

Plus, with the PIAA blades, they coat your window with a Rain-X type thing all by themselves... (they also come with Rain-x type stuff in the package) In my father-in-law's car, I put PIAAs on the driver side, and the Bosch on the passenger side. (Didn't have the PIAAs in the passenger size at the time). I didn't apply any rain-x or any of the stuff it came with to the window... But I noticed that when it rained, all the water blew off as if the window had rain-x, but only where the PIAA blades were wiping the window.

After about a year and a half, the PIAA blades are still going strong, but the bosch blades are starting to chatter on occasion. Will be replacing the passenger side with PIAA blades.

Just bought PIAA blades for my G a few days ago...

Which ones?? I know 24'-D and 17'-P.

http://www.piaa.com/WiperBlades/WiperBlades.html

Sucks that they don't make more Carbon Fiber options or one for the Passengerside, but do for the Driverside on one of them.

The PIAA ones are pretty expensive and I've always wondered about the results...from the review above, I will be trying PIAA next. Thanx!
