I was on my way into work this morning and I was coming around a bend, when coming the opposite way was a HUGE truck in the middle of the road- I had to move towards the right a little more to stay clear of his way and at the same damn time because of how windy it is this morning a freaking garbage can came flying out of someones driveway- I coulnd't swerve cause of the truck and I couldn't break cause someone was already on my a**- so I had no choice but to hit the damn thing- so now I have a huge scratch on the right bumper which took the paint right off and a bunch of scuffs I have to see if I can buff out. I am soooooooooooooooooooo pissed off right now!!!!!! I have my car for over a year now with no scratches or dings and now I have this freaking mess!!!! What the hell do you do with a long white scratch on a black car???????

ouch! sorry to hear that as well. i also have that white scratch with paint off on rear bumper which i have no idea where i got it from. is there any way to buff this out without having it repainted the whole thing?

Yup. Rockland County NY.
I should go after the owner of the trash can- but I guess he has to buy a new can anyway cause its not in too good of shape anymore. I looked at the car again before- it looks like most of it I can get out with a buffer- but that long white scratch is gonna kill me!! I'm trying to look at is thank God it was just a garbage pail and not a dog or something.

I'm waiting for one of our neighbors garbage cans to blow into my car as well....I'm running frantic around the complex trying to keep them all at bay....but this wind is really causing some mess....

I also noticed the tree in my front yard by the driveway moving around like it wants to snap in half....

Sorry to hear about your mishap...but you really didn't have any alternative...the can or the truck....you took the better route....

My wife tapped my car a couple of weeks back pulling into the driveway, and her license plate screw head put a nice little chip into my rear bumper....I took it to my local body shop....they told me to match my color (ivory pearl), that they would have to blow in the whole back of the bumper...at a cost of $475......needless to say I just hit the spot with touch up and will wait until something more severe happens (hoping Not) then I will get it repaired....still bugs the hell out of me knowing its there....but that's the way things happen sometimes....can't control the weather.....I feel for ya....<font color=blue>2old4this</font color=blue>
