which header should I buy?
which header should I buy?
Hi All,
I am looking to get a header for my G35, any suggestion on which compnay makes the best header on the market in terms of performance gain? Any comments or photos posted will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: which header should I buy?
You should really do a search about this...there's probably countless topics on the matter. However, to give you a quick answer: Crawford, Nismo, and Xerd (if you don't care about running a cat-less setup) all seem to be the choice of many modders in both the 350Z and G communities.
Re: which header should I buy?
You've got a good thread going over at freshalloy. My Comments from the thread:
For once Jason and I almost agree. I would certainly add the Crawford Plenum to his list. You might also want to think about a flywheel, if you have a 6MT. I'm torn on the pulley, because of the lack of a balancer. Jason's description of the different headers is quite good.
As has been said before, the design of the stock manifold is quite good. The Borla header, being not that much better in the flow department. The Crawford, though the toughest to install is the best one. However, the header should be the last mod on your list due to the efficient design of the stock manifold, and the cost of the header and install. Therefore my choices would be:
The POPCharger
The "Z" tube
The Crawford Plenum
Exhaust
High Flow Cats
Then:
JWT Flywheel
and Last:
Crawford Headers
