2007 6MT coupes problems

Does anyone have a problem w/ their 07 coupe? If so post'em. I have a 04 pro. package and I have axle click, tranny hum, clutch chatter, front left speaker turns on and off, driver window problems and out of the warranty. i was just wondering if i should look for an 07 or get away from infiniti.

Sadly these problems will not go away just by getting a newer year. Sure it's not going to show up now, but from the stories I've read, those parts don't last forever on our cars.

I have an 06. I have the same clutch chatter, my rear axle bolt was loose and so on.

My co-worker has an O7.. This clutch has the same issue, he had to replace his slave cylinder already (under warranty) and his clutch use to get stuck to the floor a lot.

around 4000 miles and so far clicking noise in driver window on way up fixed according to dealer--no it cliks on the way down, new engine--so far good, kind a loud navigation disc operation--don't remember my 06 was doing that.
Major issue is the engine in these years, I had 06 got engine replaced and new engine was burning oil also, changed it to 07 again new engine, but this one seems to be ok (knocking on wood)
But it is still one mean looking vehicle.

hey jackd,
why did u get a new engine for u '07?.. Oil Consumption?.. =\.. damn i hope my '07 G doesn't have this problem..

how did u know your engine had the OC problem?.. when did u start noticing?.. and how often did u check your oil?.. btw how many miles did u have before u got urs replaced?

my car seems to be fine.. no major issues.. some rattles here and there, clutch chatter of course.. but no other issues (knock on wood)

I've got an 04 as well, I've got the speaker problem as well, thought mine would have been an isolated issue. . .did you take it to your dealer and inquire about it?

Well I have an 05 & had the axle TSB fixed, driver seat TSB fixed, ticking from engine TSB fixed, & have a VERY slight clutch chatter issue only apparent when I do not shift perfectly. I also have a slight rattle from the left AC vent which I need to bring in for that TSB fix, The driver seat sometimes makes a click noise which the dealer can not replicate & the car has excessive road noise when slowing down due to the OEM camber issue on the Sport coupe. The OEM leather also is of a poor quality. I love my G35; However I must be true and admit that this car has presented more small issues then all the cars I have had over the years. It is hard to post this, but O-Well>>

Good call, I was about to ask the same question(Well tell not ask). This guy is such an idiot. He has repeatedly stated his car year, color, and problems. I think we will know if it is him doing the same under a different name. Is there a way you can bann his IP?

I had this issue last october. I took my car to the dealership and they replaced the head unit. No more in and out speaker issue.

6MT Coupe
As far as 07 6mt coupes go concerning OC issues. Yes some are plagued with this like the 05's and 06's and pre 07 6mt 350Z's.

I noticed the current TSB on OC has a cut off date on 07 coupes to qualify.
07 6mt coupes only qualify if build date is May 31, 07 or before. It's my educated guess that after that date they started using the non oil burning VQ's in assembly line production. The replacement VQ's currently in use today for OC issues became available in June/July 07. There might be a connection with that. Just guessing though.

So if you're considering an 07 6mt coupe, I would get one with a build date after May31, 2007 and not have to be bothered with a warranty VQ replacement like many of us are or already have or will be soon. I have 700mi to go in testing, then dealer orders my new VQ.

How would you go about checking the build date? I'd like to know just in case.
