Taken the G for a ride

I'm thinking about talking my brothers G out for a ride today...Is there anything I should worry about?

Leave the VDC on. If you haven't had seat time it will get away from you quick in corners under power. It feels like it's sticking like glue and the next thing you know you're going the other way.

Re: Taken the G for a ride

First thing you should know is that you really don't need to use the clutch. It's purely cosmetic on this car. Also, the redline is the place where you go the fastest. Try keeping the RPM's above 6600 and you'll be in good shape. Another big thing, there is no REVERSE on this car. You should roll it backwards when exiting a parking space. Just stick your foot out of the car door and push. And lastly, this vehicle runs on water. Make sure to fill it up at the garden hose so your brother has no clue you took his car out for a spin... Re: Taken the G for a ride

I'm not sure if I can take this question serious....
But if you are serious....You better be getting permission to drive someone else's car...
Show some respect for your brothers possessions..
If you do have permission. Then do what is most sensible...
drive like its your first time driving...respect the car and your surroundings....
This car is by no means the fastest car in the world, but it can be a handful if left to a novice....so be careful, get permission and treat it like it was yours,,,or better remember its not yours!

I'm sorry I just assuming that if your brother gave you permission he would have told you about how to drive or even considered driving with you so he could give you some pointers...

If that was my car and you decided to joy ride with out my permission.........I would have to sell the Coupe so I could afford a good lawyer to represent me for killing you! 2old4this

uheenada (whatever the heck a uheenada is)

Please re-read the post by Neffster. Do you really take that post seriously? Like filling up the gas tank with water is o.k. but the RED LINE thing is way over the top... hahahaha.

If someone is going to drive their brothers car (with their brothers permission) don't you think their brother would tell them everything they needed to know before giving them the keys?

Please re-read the post by uheenada... Do you really take my words seriously?? If you started with a joke, I finished with a joke... Gosh i didn't know missing "" sign at the end make this huge name calling(plus make an insulf of my ID)... Do you think it's absolutely neccessary to say "uheenada (whatever the heck a uheenada is)"? if you don't know a damn thing, then keep your mouth shut.. that just showed how you are immature...

Re: Taken the G for a ride

name calling? I showed nothing but respect for you (and I still do). Didn't realize you caught the joke that's all. BTW "Neffster" is what all of my old soccer buddies used to call me instead of Neff (my last name). I still don't know what a uheenada is . I personally like posting on another forum much better. I feel the average age on this board is probably 10 years younger than I am. I guess the humor that us old farts appreciate is much different than the humor of todays kids. I'll go back to lurking on this forum for now. For serious conversations I'll see you guys over at Fresh Alloy...

Any way, sorry to ruffle your feathers, I really thought that you skimmed (not read) my original post... that's all.

Re: Taken the G for a ride

No disrespect, but if that was your brother and He was going to take your car with your permission.......wouldn't you tell him everything possible to protect him and your vehicle?

Or better yet, if its his first time out, and assuming he had your permission, wouldn't you just wait till you could be present while he's driving the car?

I wouldn't want to endanger my own brother or anyone for that matter if this was the case.....If he's asking what to look out for and what to do, I would think that sends up a pretty big flag that somethings amiss here......

Who knows....maybe its really the guy kookoo and has nothing better to do than to stir up our interests....2old4this
