Brake Fluid Low **WTF**

During some spirited Driving I got a "Brake Fluid Low" warning on my Nav screen. I Never heard of that, I checked the fluid and it's between Full and minimum. The message just came on for a sec while I was braking hard from about 60-0. Should I be concerned? Maybe Ill just top it off and forget about it.

Re: Brake Fluid Low **WTF**

How many miles are on your car?
I'm sure you know the brakes wear very quickly on these cars.
if you do alot of hard driving your pads could be wearing quickly...If your fluid level is low that is an indication that some pad is gone..
I would not top off the with brake fluid, your only replacing fluid where there really should be brake pad...
Your car should be covered under warranty for any excessive brake wear/rotorwear. Unless your car has the brembos...I don't think they are covered with the 3yr/36,000 warranty coverage....
Your much better off replacing the pads then starting to add fluid, when you replace your pads you will have to remove the excess fluid again in order for its displacement of the new pad thickness....2old4this

Re: Brake Fluid Low **WTF**

I've seen that flash on the nav screen once or twice on a hard brake after some spirited driving. I have 10k miles on my car, the brake fluid is above the minimum line, and I still have plenty of pad left on all 4 corners. (I just rotated my tires and checked my brakes last week.) I was planning on taking it in to a dealer for service, but after seeing how much pad is left, I figured there's no point.
