OK I honestly think there is something wrong with my Gas Tank at this point...

Soo I have had my 07 AT G35 Coupe for 11 months now and the gas has started to just become horrible. Look the first 8 months I had the car I would be getting at least 230-240 Miles each tank by restarting the "Trip A" button. I fill up 91 Octance BTW.

I know this car is not exactly the most gas friendly car but recently I have only been getting 180 miles every tank...if I even make it that far. I occasionaly drive on tiptronic mode so its not that. I have even tried driving my car on normal Drive mode letting it shift at like 2500 or 3000 RPM to just see if it was me who was driving horrible. Even with driving like that on a whole tank I still get 180 Miles. I dont get what could be wrong.

Any comments?

Sounds about on par for city driving IMO.

are your tires soft? where are you? winter gas gets poorer mileage, winter tires generally too, cooler temps = softer tires.

it's pretty normal to see a fairly drastic drop in mileage, with any car, during the winter months.

same thing happened to me, i was getting 18-19 in the summer, and now as winter has set in 16. I'm convinced its winter gas combined with some more cautious winter driving, especially with summer tires on in jersey.

I get about 300 miles before my light turns on. That's mostly highway, i rarely drive in city.

180 miles to a full tank? That's crappy.

I usually get somewhere around 345-370 per tank.. or 22-24 MPG. One time I got 440'something out of it babying it like crazy and running the tank lower than usual.

how many gallons are you putting in when you fill up? I had a similar problem and it turned out to be that the gas tank was only filling up half of the way. ultimately i had the gas tank replaced under warranty.

good luck with everything.

Yeah, seriously... let's talk MPG instead of "miles per tank".

My MPG is always terrible - between 14.5-16 on my '04 6MT coupe. However, as of this time 90% of my driving is city, so it's to be expected.

(Oh, that works out to ~240 miles per tank without topping off)

My gas always stops filling up around 13 gallons.
