Today all of a sudden my GPS is telling me my door is open when its not. It has happend before but i opend and closed both doors and it went away. now its doing it again and its not going away. On the Dash the door open symbol isnt lit up so the gps is just being weird any one know how to fix this?

btw my car is a 05 g35 coupe w/ navi

 

i'd just take it to the dealer.

 

make sure your trunk is completely shut. a partially open trunk can also cause the 'door open' warning

 

Wow, what kind of dumb feature is that? Do the gauge pod warning lights also tell you where the nearest Starbucks is?

LOL!! Yeah it's the GPS screen that shows up with this alert.

OP: It's your trunk...check and see if your trunk is closed properly. If you carry lots of stuff in there like large bags etc, it will rub the inside trunk release and pop it open on ya. It has happened a couple times to me with my car.

i dont have anything big in my trunk a laptop, bottle of tequila and cargo net, i shut the trunk again and no warning since... weird car. lol. that would suck to have a trunk pop on u when ur driving on the freeway lol scary.

 

well the trunk is very heavy on my car with a spoiler, i dont think that the trunk would just fly open even if it was popped open. but on mine i get a brake thing on my navi if i still have the handbrake up so it is very likely that it will also tell you the door

 

Yeah it won't pop up, the wind keeps it down. Yeah weird is right though. Sometimes my trunk will unlatch itself whenever it feels like.
