60 or 90 AC problem

When the a/c is set to 60 degrees cold air blows out but when its at 61 or higher the air is really hot.

I did some searching on here and found one other person having this problem but only found a vauge answer, sensor under the steering wheel. I looked around but didn't really see anything lose. Can someone get me a little more info?

A friend of mine had this exact problem after having his double din conversion done at a local shop. The wiring harness which plugs into the temp sensor under the panel below the steering wheel was unplugged. You could plug it back in yourself fairly easily. Just pull off that panel and check all the wiring to make sure nothing is snagging and nothing is hanging loose. This is the EXACT problem he had by the way. All your other functions still work right? like fan speed and mode and defrost etc?

Yeah everything else works fine. I had it at the dealership just a few days before this started.

Anyone know how to remove the panel?

I have a similar problem in my 08, cant stand that I cant control the actual temp of the air, instead the temp of the car, and if it is 40 degrees outside, then 61 is hot, 60 is cold, i like warm air year round, is that too much to ask?

I found a VERY vauge manual that shows one bolt and 4 metal clips holding this in place. Does anyone have tips for removing the clips?

Unfortunately, this is not the problem. Guess I'll just take it to the dealership. I need them to take a look at the driver side window anyways, for some reason it dosen't always wanna work when the button is pushed.

Thanks for your help Jason!!
