I have issues with mine also and I have the same yr and almost the same miles on mine.

For 175 bucks for part alone, damn...willing to live with it for a bit longer cause its not an everyday problem.

Cry to the dealer. They know that all the window motors are junk and should have been recalled a long time ago. While they are at it.... let them recall the cd changers too!

If that doesn't work, get the remanufactured OEM motor from Autozone. It's $130 with a lifetime warranty. Of course, you can always get a new OEM motor for $175 and keep paying that every year or so.

a $5 fix?
so i called the dealer and they told me to call the infiniti 800# consumer affairs line. so i did and they told me there's nothing they can do. What a bunch of pansy.
The motor is piece of junk. luckly mine goes bad once in a while. i think i'll live with it rather than paying a grip for that crap.

Its only a matter of time before the motor takes a $hit on you. In my opinion, I think the reason they fail so quickly is because of the auto up/down each time you open/close the door.

I disengage mine by lightly tapping on the window switch, so the window lowers about 1/16 of an inch. This stops the window motor from moving the window up/down every time you open your door. It still seals completely, and has no leaks or air noise.

From what i heard, this was an isolated motor from 03-04 and motors after that are better built. Mine crapped out at 80K or so. If you're closed to your warrantee expirations, dealers can extended under a goodwill grace peroid and still honor your warrantee. Just talk nicely to them.

Yeah that really sucks... I've been fortunate enough not to have any problems with mine... yet.

+1 on talking to the dealer to say it was acting up before 60K and if you had known the extent of the problems in that year's window motor manufacturing you would have brought it to their attention sooner.
