whine/whistling noise

Not sure if it's always been like this, but I've noticed recently there is a whine or whistle when accelerating and decelerating. Not sure where it's coming from, but the noise kind of 'syncs' with the engine speed. In other words, the more RPM's, the more pronounced the whistle is. Could it be the alternator, or even the grounding kit? I'm not getting noise or static through the speakers though. It seems more mechanical.

Re: whine/whistling noise

Could be a number of things such as an intake whistle, or a gear whine, a serpentine belt misalignment,.
Unless it gets louder, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have the stock intake and I hear it also.
When I took it to the dealer, they just said they didn't hear anything. F@%!ers

Re: whine/whistling noise

I get a whining noise everyday when the car is cold. Seems to be the same issue. It goes away when warm, but I also would like to know what it is.

Re: whine/whistling noise

Hey i have int injen intake and it makes a huge whistling sound too. People think i have a turbo its really funny. Its real loud too. My buddy says he can he it from inside of his car while we are driving next to eachother.

It nothing big man dont worry about it. Most likely its from your intake.
