The tires they put on your car are not the same quality it came from the
factory, but cheap tires that may not last 15K miles. My G came with Michelins which wouldn't be close to the junk they installed. If they agree to
the warranty make sure it's OEM Nissan not some private warranty B.S.!
You obviously dont deal with dealerships much. That isnt going to happen. And BTW, the federal tires isnt bad at all, i put some on my Rx7, they had really good traction, and lasted quite a while. Just cause they are not Michelins doesnt make them junk. It sucks that the dealership dropped the ball, but at least they gave him a loaner, and are willing to deliver the car to hom. That is all you are going to get out of them. The car is USED, even though the car has a factory warranty, it is still AS IS. No due bill, no deal

Thanks.

Makes me feel great to give people a great deal on a 30k+ car, and make 150 bucks for spending on average, 6 hours with them, showing them how to use the car and everything.

Great service always deserves a tip. Do you tip your waiter or valet? They receive an hourly wage to do their job. My commission is my wage for doing my job.

A tip is just that, a tip, for service above and beyond what was expected.

What do you do for a living?

Sorry to send this thread off course... But I've dealt with few car dealers who exemplified "great service". Most will try to get every last dime out of you. When I've met a dealer who was honest and good, I may have budged a little more on my bottom line, and bought the car for a little more than I would have if the dealer had been rude. I guess you can say that his higher commission for the higher sale is equivalent to a tip.... But I still don't think you outright tip a dealer. That being said, keep up the good work, Mike

By the way...I'm a IT Systems Administrator, so no, I don't work for tips or commission.... But unfortunately not everyone who does service "above and beyond what is expected" gets tips... Ask any IT professional...

The sales people at Infiniti of Fife are subpar to say the least. I have bought both my cars out of state because of this. However, their service department has served me well. Good luck with everything!

Well,... finally got an apology, A check for $200, and im going to meet the guy halfway to pick up the car. The guy who sold me the car is going to meet me, and i'm assured he will be very gentle and drive it like it was his own. So not going to be some kid out for a joy ride!

No luck on the tires, but I'm assured they are sport performance tires, and the rubber is a little harder than the Micheline sports that came with the car so they'll last a bit longer then the originals. They come with a warranty from Les Schwab so...

Thanks all for your suggestions and support!!

And Mike - the best TIP a customer can give their salesperson - a REFERRAL!!!

On average - when you make about $500 per car, sometimes more, and increased incentives over time and when good months hit, you're rewarded from your dealership...on average, a car sale is 4-5 hours - you say 6, so OK - that's still ranging $80-$100+ per hour - that you actually sell.

Your here for volume, not high priced sales...I'm sure you make it up fine.

That's my $.02...after more than 20 years driving, and owning more than 25 cars, new and used....sales is sales, service is service.

Bottom line....

Rick

Man, I feel sorry for you enduring all that BS. I live in Bellevue and I *HATE* the Kirkland dealership. They are always full of sh*t, talk down to me because I am not 40+ years old, and completely try to screw me all the time.

My last escapade was a couple of weeks ago, when my 2nd transmission had started having issues with gears not engaging (it has only 32k miles on the ODO!). They tried to blame it on Greg's Japanese auto because Greg's used regular 75-85w gear fluid, while Infiniti "recommends" their own brand, but says it's okay to use any other 75-85w fluid in the tranny. However, they state they will not replace any tranny if anything but their own brand is found to be in there.

To make a long story longer... These guys told me a hundred times how HUGE of a favor they are doing for me and that I should basically be sucking their c***s for this (with my 2nd Infiniti bought brand new there) and their crap transmissions going out all the time.

I just hate them all. All sleazy and the higher up you go the more sleaze you get. Secretaries -> service reps -> service manager.

Just be persistent and argue with them. I was seriously going to take what they pulled out of my tranny and their brand to a lab to get it tested and see if it's the same thing since the only thing they were complaining about is the color difference. They never put anything in writing, just kept saying that they got a room full of mechanics and managers and techs that are willing to back up their claims and that Greg's needs to replace my tranny.

I hate them... seriously.
