No comments on my post? - or are y'all saying that any "GOOD" shop should be able to 'color-match' --- EVEN if my paint has faded?

I always thought they use the OEM paint codes and run with it...I guess if y'all are saying that they should be able to match my faded silver, then that works for me.

What's the best way to ask (the right question, the right way) to any body shop to be able to tell if they are "legit" or B.S.?

Thanks Guys!

If you give the shop the bumpers and not your entire car, then it will be tough to match. They will go specifically with the color code that Infinity says. If you leave your car with them, I believe they do a small section first and see if it matches. If it doesn't they try again...at least that's what I think a decent shop would do.

the thing is, even if you mix the paint perfectly to match, spraying it on the urethane bumper will make it look different than spraying on a metal body panel.

Even when the car is NEW the bumpers look a slightly different shade.

REguardless... if you have any reputable shop paint the bumper it will look good..

If you want to have some fun, try to get a good match on Caribbean Blue!

^ Yeah, I plan on leaving the car with them to specify that they try there best to get a perfect match.

Obviously I KNOW there is no "Perfect" match.

Like Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssooooonnnnnn said, the difference in metal vs. plastic is going to create a *slight* shade variance, but I want them to try and capture the SILVER as it is NOW after being faded a slight tinge...

Thanks for all the advice guys!!!

Thanks Guys!

+1 man...it sucks trying to get a body shop to paint my CB bumper. One just told me that they wouldnt even attempt it without spraying the hood and fenders.....
