Best year G35?

Well 've been reading posts. It seems all years are great but some are affected by oil burning issues. I've learned that 04s are the way to go as the 03s are the first generation and still have those little bugs on them. Then I found out most 05s and 06s burn oil but more so on 05s. However I am looking for a 5AT and this seems to only affect the 6MT Rev up cars right?

Overall, which year do you think is best?

+1 on the '06... if you're going 5AT oil consumption should be less of an issue, not to mention if it happens it's still covered under warranty.

yeah I like the 04s too, but the revised interiors of the 05+ wins it for me.

But it is true that more 2005 5ATs burn oil compared to the 2006 5ATs?

'04

No rev-up (much less chance of oil consumption problem, my '04 is on H every time I check the oil)

More torque

Brembos on 6MT

I completely agree for 6MT... but this guy's looking 5AT which is why I suggested '06. '04 6MT's are the ****!

Since you're going with 5at why not go with the latest model, 06' or 07'? That is if money is not a deciding factor. The 06/07s don't have the Brembos but you get an nicer interior, revup engine and projector headlights. Your best bet is to look at the diff model years in person though. It's all personal pref in the long run.
