Re: my project is done!

yeah its electric. 7.2v , the chassis its a HPI Sprint, the car is set for drifting.. as you can see the pics the front wheels are toe like crazy! it has the new set of wheels made by yokomo. "DRIFT TIRES", and yoke rims. the motor its a 20 turn, also has a one way front dif, open dif in the rear, super stiff rear suspension with a 25mm springs in the rear and 27mm in the front.

isn`t that fast but is fun to have it sideways! and yes it drift like a champ!

Fully assembled with servo, 20-turn motor and reversing electronic speed control, the RTR Sprint is the perfect way to get started in R/C! The box even includes a 7.2v battery, overnight AC charger and of course high quality Airtonics radio gear!

The RTR Sprint was designed and built just for people new to the R/C hobby and folks who aren't sure if they want to go racing yet. With the RTR Sprint, it's easy to move from running in your driveway to racing at your local track!

CAN YOU SAY 4WD!! full time

Re: my project is done!

Nice! I used to have an HPI racer2 all carbon fiber and alluminum. With a turboed 2HP engine! I would race in the HPI challenge until my friend borrowed it and lent it to someone else without me knowing and that kid lost it! I plan on collecting my 1,500. I took him to small claims and all I have to do is tell the judge that he didn't pay (which he didn't) and he will go collect .

A little recomendation for your car. For street and track use, run belted X pattern tires in the rear and belted radials in the front. You can run foam but your car might be a little too light for them.

Re: my project is done!

Oh, also I ran 35 weight oil in the front and 55 in the rear shocks. Gave it some nice push!

Why didnt you get a gas car?

Re: my project is done!

I liked gas but there are downsides.

1. Its loud but some people (me included) like the sound)
2. It gets dirty ALOT faster. Even with a good engine, the dust gets in and sticks on any oil, exhast, or gas that has leaked on your car.
3. You can't run it indoors
4. It's more expensive
5. It's more maintnence
6. You need to tune it
And, that's pretty much most of the drawbacks.

Gas is howerver faster than electric, louder, and I think more fun. There are also ALOT more options with gas cars.

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: my project is done!

Yes that is true, but honestly i like it. Electric is WAAAAY cleaner your right.

The funny thing is my electric car has no stock parts on it. LOL sounds like im talking about a real car. But i was saying, the only thing stock is the chasis. Everything else is upgraded.

So when i race my gas car against my electric its like a NA tuned car against a turbo charged car. You know how a turbo car has turbo lag well so does the gas car. It doesnt have that fast of a acceleration but the top speed is there. My electric car beat the crap outta my gas but in the long run, the gas ends up winning becuase the top speed is higher.

LOL sorry its soo long.

So i would go with gas its better.
