I am moving onto a new project car, and staying somewhat in the nissan family. I test drove a g-coupe at Infiniti of Jacksonville Florida yesterday and was impressed with the overall feel of the car; interior styling, exterior body lines and comfort. The car itself feels sluggish, and torqueless, however I am comparing this to my car which is a completely different setup.

Aside from the background, I was really trying to find out what I should pay these yahoo's at the dealership for the car. I am pretty set on Graphite/Black Leather, with 18" wheels/Brembo's and the DVD/Nav package. When I talked to Bob V (Sales guy) he was saying the car would run about $36,200.00 MSRP.

I have no intentions of paying MSRP, but haven't dealt with a dealer in quite sometime and would like to know what figures to throw at this guy. I am planning on putting $10,000.00 down on the car, and trying to keep monthly payments from $350.00 if possible. Am I going to get laughed out, or does this seem reasonable?

I'd be guessing you could get it for $35,000. But with $10,000 down on a 60 month plan, your payments will be around $500 a month. You would have to put $14,000 down and get 0% interest for them to be $350.

that's just a guess of course.
