I just noticed today that BOTH of my headlights have a crack inside under the cover on the silver part between the fog and headlight. I noticed one headlight had it then looked and saw the other one did too. Two cracks both in the same shape kind of an S shape. I'll try to take pix but something tells me that it won't be easy to do. I guess it's worth mentioning to the dealer cause if they get bigger it wont be pretty.

Everyone should check cause 1 crack could be a freak occurance but both headlights with the same crack tells me something is wrong. I checked one other coupe that was around since I noticed this at a meet and he was fine.

 

i dont think its a crack. if i think its what you are talking about, its supposed to be like that. there were posts on that like a month ago.

 

Can't find any cracks on mine in the area you described.

No this is definatly a crack. I'm not talking about the line on the outside, I'm talking about INSIDE the plastic cover on some of the silver plastic. Specifically the part that is between the headlights and foglights That's where it's cracked. I'll go try to take pix and see how they come out.

Ok those are my crappy arrows showing the beginning and end of the crack in the first pic. Obviously it's not a huge deal but my concerns are:

A. The crack spreading and getting worse

B. Moisture getting into the headlights and looking like crap.

C. How the hell did BOTH lights get like this???

I guess its off to the dealer, I need to go there anyway to have them fix my windows for the 5th time.......Punks

So who wants to put money on the dealer blaming either the stonegaurd protection film that I put on the lights or the 20" rims causing the cracks? Thats another thing if they do actually replace the lights am I out the $90 that I spent to protect the old ones that cracked on the inside anyway?? Oh the joys of warranty repair!

Yeah mines were cracked too. I guess some headlights were made with faulty plastic housing. Should have took some pictures before I had them replaced. Just bring them back to the dealer and they should replace them. Make sure if you previously changed the bulbs to put back the stock H4's in there so they can't blame it only anything like that. They should replace your lights under warranty. I had mines replaced under warranty. No hassles at all.

Wow Infiniti is gonna be pissed at me. That makes 4 so far Oh well.....

 

not sure why there is not TSB for this....but i noticed the other day that there is some color variance between cars on the silver area around the headlight. Mine seemed to be more reflective silver vs. some others that i have seen which seem to be more satin finished. Wondering if that has any relation to this cracking problem.

I was worried for a second there. I just upgraded my bulbs. No cracks.....yet.
