but yeah, that crowbar would have gotten a nice workout if i would have been able to catch her...i tell all my friends im throwing a cinder block through her roof if i ever find her car...i can only wait for that day, and in the meantime, the cinder block is sitting nice and happy in my trunk.

 

The last Jetta driver I knew I told her she needed a class "W" license for "woman"

That made her cry

Thanks for all the kind words. Finally met with a GEICO adjuster and he did an estimate and cut me a check for $600. Now I gotta take it to a shop and have them take a look at it and determine if the check will cover for the parts and labor to take my car to pre-accident condition. From the line items and cost estimates, I'm getting paid for a new bumper cover and the painting, clear coat, and install. The adjuster said that if the shop determines that additional $$$ is necessary to complete the work, that the shop will contact GEICO directly and deal with it that way.

The other alternative is to go use that check and buy a NISMO rear bumper kit! LOL.

I'm now seriously thinking about investing in a peewee league metal bat to keep in the back seat so I can beat the next idiot VW driver senseless for even touching my G.

Where are you located? If in the NYC area I can recommend you to a good shop.

 

Sorry to hear about your car. The better way to deal with that situation is to just take down her license plate # and let her leave. Then call the cops and report it as a hit and run. Then she would REALLY be in trouble. Either way you still will get her insurance to pay. Not to mention, what if her boyfriend was a psycho like her and pulls a gun or something. Things could really turn bad then.

 

You kind of ended the story in midway. What happened? did you get her license? insurance? did the cops come?

 

No cops, got the VW driver's license info, got contacted by GEICO, met the adjuster and got a check for $600 which covers for a new rear bumper cover and necessary labor and materials to paint and install it. I have to take the print out from GEICO and take it to a reputable shop to see if they agree with the estimate and do the job.

After shopping around for body kits, it looks like just replacing the stock bumper is the cheapest route. The Nismo body kit is almost $4,000!!!! Not to mention I think it's made with fiberglass which doesn't sit well with me.

I have the factory spoiler, anyone know if the Nismo wing will attach on the same mounting holes as the stock wing?

I was hit by a girl three days after I picked up my car. Actually posted a thread about it. This is why they should make it harder to get a drivers liscense. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to drive.
