slight backfire at idle, should I be concerned?

I've had a few friends with early models Z's complain about an irratic idle problem and most seemed to get it fixed with warranty work or evena grounding kit, but it seems like Im getting more than just an irratic idle.

I actually have a slight but noticeable backfire that can be heard while being near the engine or at the tailpipe. I've looked around and it seems like a few people had some issues with misfiring cylinders and seemed to get it replaced under warranty.

I've never dealt with a warranty before and mine runs out in Sept 08, so should I go ahead and take it in there to get it checked out?

The only mod i have right now is a nismo air intake, should i reset my ecu and see if that eliminates it first.
