Quick acceleration ques?

hey
when i shift and accelerate my rpms will drop as im accelerating. happens in every gear. started to feel this after i installed my hks exhaust. what can it be? my 04 coupe has 24k miles.

when i cruise at like 65 it drops rpms and my cruise disengages. does it like 4-5 times in a row.

what can it be? tranny?

You should check the TPS (throttle position sensor). If it is the clutch, the RPM's would increase (slipping clutch) not decrease.

Easiest thing to do is take it somewhere and get the engine codes read. I think Auto Zone will do it for free. It will throw the code of the bad components. There's a thread on this forum that directs you to a service manual download that you can find out how to replace parts which includes troubleshooting. The process is too lengthy for me to explain on how to replace. There are other sensors that may cause what you are experiencing.

I you still under warranty, no sense fooling with it yourself, just take it in to the dealer.
