Bro you should have the dealer look at your car they will have to put all original parts plus if they use all original part they will probably total your car. It's kind better so you can get another G. so you don't have this thing in the back of your mine is the car fix and straight or you will find out later that it is not. good luck.

Who do you have for insurance? Sucks that you have to go through this...The person who hit you, their insurance should take care of everything. If not, your company should fight with them, not you. I'd get a lawyer.

*****UPDATE*****
ok guys BIG update, i contacted her insurance regarding how far they were in the whole process and he told me that their claims guy went out to get an appraisal and the damage is substantially more than their payout, which is a total bs, how does this make sense? its THEIR insured driver who hit me and its THEIR responsibility to fix my car, i do not want to go through my insurance unless its a last resort, so i told him all of that and he responded with "well she doesn't have that much coverage" and he was under the impression i was going through my own insurance which is stupid of him to think, is he trying to give me the run around as usual? also can i collect the payout from lady who hit me's insurance AND fix the car using my insurance?

a similar situation happened to my friend a few yrs ago he had to claim it on his insurance. his insurance had to take the other person's insurance to court. it took an entire yr before everything got squared away and to get his deductible back. that kind of thing seems to happen with small insurance company, in my experience. good luck bro, hope it turns out better than what happened to my friend.

I believe her insurance will pay out up to her max, and your insurance will cover the difference.

That is why I carry 100/300 on all of my cars. (CA minimum is 15/30).

Get a good lawyer if necessary.

If the accident was not your fault, you should go through your isnurance company to get the car fixed. They will contact the lady's insurer and get back what money they can. A not at fault accident shouldn't count against you.

After a quick Internet search, it appears that California minimum property damage limits are only $5000, which is incredibly low. She must have the minimum requirements.

You'll need a body shop for the estimate. Your local dealer can refer you to one.

We happen to use Holmes (expensive, but they do a GREAT job)

ya 15k/30k is for body injury. For property damage, most ppl have 5-10K if they're going cheap. That means if your repair cost is more than her property damage limit, her insurance company only pays up to her limit. If you want to fix your car completely, you'll have to contact your own insurance, then urs will cover the additional difference between her coverage limits and your actual repair cost, and they will probably charge you a deductible.

Hope this helps. This happened to me when I crashed my dad's truck (my fault), except I was the one with only 10K of property damage

****update****,

all the estimates are done and its around 13,000 for everything, they are mostly repainting a lot of the car and blending some areas except for my passenger side door, now ive been fighting with my insurance company telling them it is ridiculous that i pay all this money for insurance and they are not painting the door, regardless of how it looks painting the whole car and not one door is something that i really dont want to do, ive tried fighting and they wont budge saying it wasn't damaged in the accident so they wont do it, any suggestions guys?

Talk to the shop and see if they can help you out by painting the door for free or talking to the adjuster to convince them that they need to paint it.
