Looking for some advice

So i picked up an 04 g35 DG, car looked mint from the ebay auction/dealership pictures. Everyone worked with me quite well sending me pictures of whatever i had asked for. Now i get the car yesterday, and there is a laundry list of issues with the car. Now it had a clean car fax but obviously a quite large front end accident had taken place on this vehicle. the whole front end is misaligned. where the hood and the fenders meet up by the A pilliar there is no paint on either the hood/fender, no paint/touched up paint on the pass door where the fender would meet the door. an acorn sized dent in the roof, rear bumper paint is spider cracked, the whole car was resprayed, with the emblems still on it none the less. the headlight brackets are broken on both sides and plastic was melted over the bolts to keep them in place. theres no navigation disc, the interior was supposed to be detailed and apparently it was a non smokers car with burnholes on the carpet on the driver side. now thats the end of that rant, what action should i be taking in order to get this bomb of a G35 out of my driveway. Is the dealer legally responsible to take this back since the condition was not mentioned like this? I mean i was told it was practically show room quality and the pictures basically avoid every problem area with the car. I hope someone wiht some legal experience can chime in on the issue as this is completely rediculous. last time i ever buy a car online, i dont understand we got my mothers ls430 and it was MINT absolutely perfect. All i want is some brembos...damn

you can dispute it from Ebay I believe. Also, depending on how you paid for it, you can also request a refund. Make sure you have every conversation, pic & carfax on file so you have evidence that they ripped you off.

Good Luck!

Good luck... I'm sure this won't be a quick process by any means - but if you devote a lot of time to contacting your method of payment, Ebay, the seller, etc., hopefully you can get your money back and return the car.

How much did you pay? Sometimes deals are too good to be true....I would do whatever you can to get out of that car. Try to see if you can get out of the deal with the dealership, but if not I would still get rid of it. If the alignment of the front end is off or the frame is actually bent you're gonna have problems. Not to mention all of the damage that you said is visible, who knows the condition of the drivetrain or how hard this car was driven.

Yea i mean the clutch was just replaced...at 31k, thats not from normal driving to me. Im going to do whatever in my power that i can to get rid of this car, but i sold my car the same day that this one came, so im in quite the catch 22 right now. I just dont understand how they could go through the process like that and completely avoid telling me about all those trouble spots. The car was 24,000 out the door which i feel is a fare price from a dealer. The transaction was done off of ebay though, more or less through thier website and them personally. until then ill keep looking for an 04' 6spd....

$24,000!?!?!?!?
That is way, way, way, way too expensive

I got my '04 6MT from a used car dealer for less than that in July '07. Since then, my KBB private party value of the car has depreciated over $5,000

EDIT: I bought it with 38,000 miles

That's a little bit better... but considering the condition of the car, absolutely outrageous (which you obviously already know).

Best of luck

That is a fair price from a dealership for an 04 with low miles and in good condition. Yea you can find them cheaper but they might be ragged out or in the condition of the one you got. There is no way you should be ok with paying 24k for that car though. Make sure you get your money back. There are plenty of good G's out there.

If it is a certified pre-owned from an Infiniti dealer, then perhaps. When buying from any other used car dealer, you should shoot for KBB Private party or less.

Hind sight is 20/20 so when I say this, dont take offense......NEVER accept a car without inspecting FIRST!! If you had seen ANY of these things, you could have told them to put it back on the truck and take it back. How do I KNOW this, I just took delivery of a 05 G Sport from Colorado and I live in Misouri.....with that said:

1) despute with Ebay and have them stop payment thru your bank or paypal
2) tell seller to come and pick up the vehicle/send transport back
3) take pictures YOURSELF and compare to the ones they sent you for any conversations that may come up
4) STOP PAYMENT THRU BANK/PAYPAL (this will get sellers attention)

I'm sorry you had to go thru this but it can be fixed to YOUR advantage. Keep us informed......

PM me if you want to get more into some legal details.....

thank you i appreciate your help, but the transaction was done off of ebay. i have all pictures of the "rock chips" that were on the car...i specifically asked for all the marks on the car and i wanted pictures of them. when the car came off the truck it was filthy cause of all the storms that he had to go through goin from chicago to jersey so i didnt get to see the condition of everything until the car was washed.

Update :

Just took the car to infiniti heres the run down and its quite the run down of repairs.
1. Needs 3 new rims as they are bent badly 2 fronts and 1 rear
2. 2 new front tires from the rims being bent and alignment being so effed up
3. dealer i bought it from said there was a brand new clutch in there, infiniti said theres about 50% life on this clutch and whoever installed it did it wrong
4. bose is broken but thats covered under warantee along with my seat adjustment
5. needs new e-brake pads which are apparently different from the regular brakes on this car
6. needs all new brakes, front and rear rotors brembos mind you so they are like 3 grand from the dealer.
7. needs 2 new headlight assemblies
8. the dealership didnt even want to wash the car because they said the paint job was so horrible on the car.

Dealer cost of getting all the mechanics of the car fixed was 7800 with taxes. i just woulda gotten a g37 if i knew this...

Needless to say im pretty heated right now as thats only the mechanical aspect of whats wrong. The car was basically beat to **** and then most likely traded in. I hope there is something legally i can do about this as the ad from ebay/their website is extremely misleading and did not mention any of the above issues, let alone the whole car being resprayed and misc dents and scratches. waiting for a call back from my lawyer, i saved my *** off for this car for 3 years and its been nothing but a headache with these swindlers taking my money
