Last night as I was walking towards my car, im pressing the little button and realizing that nothing is happening, WTF? So i check my pockets and no key. Check my store.... no key.. I lost the *****. This has never happened to me. So what should I do. What am I supposed to do. Im afraid someone found it and can drive off with it lol.

 

Do you have the Infiniti supplied wallet key or any other backups? As long as you have that, you can buy another key on ebay, and take it to an infiniti dealer for programming. From my understanding of the service manual, the programming process deletes all previously known keys and then they re-program the car to recognize all of the keys you provide them with. Of course if someone found your key, they would still be able to insert it into your key slot to open the door, but the car would ignore the key it if they tried to turn the ignition.

Intelligent key would be a little different ballgame, but mostly the same story.
