I just called the police since i have a lowjack, and they told me freaking towing company just took my car...they didnt even call me...that bastards..i was freaked out.. Man i thought i was gonna passed out......... I just spoke to the insurance company and they said if i want to get an aftermarket, its upto the bodyshop, So on monday, i have to go to the bodyshop and see what happens....

Okay, tell your body shop to cut you a check for the list price of the wheels and tires, and you'll get them. Don't tell the insurance co. you want cheaper wheels (even if they're better), as you've paid to insure the cost of the wheels on the car, and to take anything less would be a horrible deal for you, and a cop-out for the insurance company. They owe you/bodyshop whatever it costs to bring the car back to new, but once they've cut the check, it is yours to do with as you please. You could leave the car as it is and just take the money if you wanted.

You are right. I was thinking that rental reimbursement was standard, but I checked my auto insurance policy and I see that I pay a little extra for it.

Gah.. This post totally hit me. I live in Orange County as well. I never left my car out overnight, but to think this happened in Irvine, which is supposedly a nice area...

Not to be racist or anything. I'm Asian, and I think you're Asian too ie name Young. But if this is the case, then if you hang around a lot of people who are into cars, start to inquire around for a set of G35c wheels. Chances are you'll find them on sale by some group of Asian guys somewhere, then you can lay down the hammer.

irvine USED to be a safe place.. after some dumbass people came into the college, it turned hella ghetto.. i'm not saying you should fear for your life there, but the amount of theft at the college and around that town is insane.. i've seen people try to steal rims in the freakin' school parking structure.. irvine police are a bunch of bored cops anyways.. they'd rather ticket someone for tint / exhaust than do some real work..

i hope you get your car taken care of soon and get some nice rims..

Wait a minute.... Is your car still being financed or you paid in full. If your payments are all done then you can do whatever everyone has said. If it is being financed still then the bank kinda owns your car.... that means the check will actually be sent directly to whomever you go to... to buy those stock rims and tires. Then you can negotiate with those people selling you the rims on how to get different rims or what not.
