I just recieved touch up paint for my Ivory Pearl Coupe. This, as some of you may already know, comes in a two-step process, namely a base coat followed by a top coat. However, both tubes look identical. How do I tell which is the Bottom coat and which is the top coat?

I had to pull the brushes out to see which was white and the other the clear coat. The white should be applied first, then the clear coat. Matches pretty well.

if you look on the label on each of the bottles/cylinders you will see the code for either BC, for base coat or TC, for top coat......
I've used it a few times and it matches pretty good...but on a big nick or chip it doesn't really look to good....
many of the tiny chips on my front bumper I've only covered with the base coat alone....seems to cover well and hardly noticeable when completely dry....<font color=blue>2old4this</font color=blue>

I used the two stage on my Ivory Pearl front bumper for one chip. I did not find that it covered that well and just went for the clear bra.
