Re: 2003 G35 Coupe
hmmm...
where did u see these complaints?
There are couple of things like break wearing out early on AT and the window but Infiniti is pretty good in taking care of them. Other than that the car is absolutely fabulous. In my opinion, it is the best car under $50k and design-wise best under 80k. I love my G35 and so do most peepz over here at the forum. Good luck in getting a decent deal.

Re: 2003 G35 Coupe
I would say go and take a test drive, and form your own opinion. I think it handles great for factory suspension, I have had no paint problems, and no window issues. There has also been many complaints with cd player errors, but I haven't had any (knock on wood.) I have had my coupe since January 03, and the only real problem I had with it was the grease streaks on the windows when it was new, but the dealer fixed that under warranty (Infiniti customer service has been great, also.) While the car is new here, it has been around in Japan for a while now, so it doesn't seem to be plagued with the problems of alot of first year cars. I think that the vast majority of people on this forum are very happy with their purchase, and would highly recommend the vehicle. Price to fun ratio is very high.

Haven't heard the window complaint....I will admit my paint has seen some scratches from the winter weather but nothing a good detail won't get out.

VDC is there for your own good, just ask a bunch of the members that forgot theirs was off and went to take a tight turn.

I have a 03 and couldn't be happier. My brakes have been worn after only 9k but Infiniti is taking care of that Monday when my car leaves the body shop.

My only complaint is the MPG but it seems like that may be my fault since their are other members doing great.

Re: 2003 G35 Coupe
oh oh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! My CD player gave out in November right after my first service so I just rode it out. When I finally decided to schedule my 7,500 (at 9,000) I stopped by and had them take my VIN and order a new CD Unit....Many members here said it took a month for them to get the units but my Service center called me 2 days later saying the unit had arrived.

Monday : Brakes, New CD player, 18's back on, and a nice wash!!! AND A DAY WITH THE FOUR DOOR !!you gotta love that.

Re: 2003 G35 Coupe
I'm baffled at your questions!

What kind of car are you used to?
What kind of car are you looking for?
Are you going to drive it on the street or a racetrack?

Who said the G coupe doesn't handle well? It handles extremely well and probably better that 99% of the cars on the road.
There is no problem with the VDC. Most cars don't even have this safety feature. If you don't like it, you can simply turn it off.

Anyway, those of us on this board simply love this car. You are not going to get anyone on here to talk you out of it! Sure we discuss certain problems for our mutual benefit, but they are minor. There are no major problems with the car.
I would suggest you look up all of the automotive magazine articles on the coupe. They are all rave reviews.

Re: 2003 G35 Coupe
You should take into account that most of the times when someone has a problem, he/she will post about it. That does not mean that all people with G35s are having problems. A majority of the people, perfectly happy with their cars never post how satisfied they are with their cars. The same is true with any car. Just go to any of the car forums and you will find similar posts about problems.

Re: 2003 G35 Coupe
Well in all honesty...
I was one of the individuals that did have a window problem. Nothing a quick trip to the dealer didn't fix though. Apparently the window regulator had gone out. And even though they didn't have the part in stock, they had it overnighted, and were also nice enough to give me a g35 sedan loaner.

The bottom line is any car, make, or model will have it's share of problems. In the end i was satisfied with how the dealer handled it, and have not regretted my purchase one bit.

Re: 2003 G35 Coupe
The other way of looking at it is that we are by definition enthusiasts. We live, breathe, and love this car so of course we're going to be more critical of things that go wrong with it, even little things. I'm sure the average driver who is just looking for a car won't car about some of the things people here complain about. I said SOME of the things. I'm sure if you do a search on any other car forum you'll see just as many complaints. I've had my car for 18 months now and I haven't regretted it a second (except I should've gotten the NAV). It's forcing me to live with my parents a little longer but it's well worth it.

startertan I too regret not getting the NAV but I think its more the awww factor than the practicality. I know Boston like the back of my hand and if you need NAV here your not a true Bostonian

Re: 2003 G35 Coupe
I would like you to find a car that has no problems at all...
In my opinion these are relatively minor problems. (and relatively uncommon) You may feel overwhelmed because most people use this board as a place to get help whrn they have a problem, therefore most posts are negative in nature.
Dont be discouraged....buying will be a great idea. Let us know what you decide.
