If your nervous about problems on a new car, then go read about the RX-8 and the Acura TL. Relatively speaking, the G35 Coupe is problem free compared to those cars.

I've had my 6MT Coupe since Jan '03. Haven't been back to the dealer yet. No Problems. Can you say None?

No car is immune from problems. If the G35's supposed "problems" is concerning you, start researching another car, say the Acura RSX or BMW 3 series. I guarentee that you'll eventually find people complaining about problems with those cars, or any other car, at various forums.
I'm confident that the G35 is not only one of the best performing cars on the road today, it's also one of the more reliable.

You know, ggirl77, it's good that you're doing your homework on the car, and others I'm sure. But the truth is, you've got to go out there and give it a good feel for yourself. I was very close on purchasing another car before I even gave myself a chance to test drive the g. But once I did, boy, was I sold. That one quick 15 minute ride made me realize that she ain't just a cheap thrill, I could actually take her home and meet my mama. Yeah, sure, I do wonder what it would be like if I didn't take her home that night. I do wonder if others will ride better and give me the same pleasure. I do have a few copmlaints about the car, such as the lack of memory seats, *** warmers warm up too slow, the rear end looks plump and juicy but can barely hold my golf bag, etc. And I do "occasionally" peek and wander when I'm riding her... Sure she's a little high maintence, but I know at the end of the day she still satisfies me and puts a grin on my face when I fall asleep.

And so far, I know I've made the right choice.

I don't know about you guys but.. I like JLo's ***. And I like our G's JLo *** too. But what really gets me off is ... the LED tail lights. I don't think any car has lights that are as cool.

Every new car is going to have problems. Just a fact of life. But some cars will have more problems than others. Check any car board and you'll see some people posting about problems. People are more likely to complain than praise (in general anyways). However, if you check the consumer reports site (search this site for direct link), you'll see that Infiniti has a great history for reliability and quality control (#1 as far as I'm concerned if you take into considering 3 and 5 year old cars). Personally, I haven't had any problems with my 04 G35c, but I've only had it for a month and a half. I look forward to leaving work just so I can drive my car again. If your concern is quality and reliability, Infiniti has a great track record, but cars are built by people and some parts are outsourced so once in awhile a problem may crop up.

To turn the VDC COMPLETELY OFF you have to hold the VDC button in for about 25 seconds. You'll see it on the dash cluster say "VDC Off" and then it will completely disappear.

I read this on a post somewhere and tried it...it works so ... that's one way to disengage the VDC completely...
