Ok.....i don't know how many of you have done this....but i went past redline, about to....i'd say 6700 -6800 rpms.....then i smelled the burn....i know its bad to go past redline, I did it just once....won't be too bad will it? i have Mobil one in it....will that help? Tell me the truth.....and try to make me feel better.....=(.

you just [censored] up the lining in the cylinders. No biggie, unless you plan on keeping this car over 30,000 miles. Also, you might notice a drop in gas mileage and your exhaust will sound similar to a Honda Civic.

So anyways....this evolution hit me up and raced me....i kept up in 1st and second....and thats when i went a little past redline....so i let up on it and lost....oh well....i should have lost anyways.....

well i heard of someone downshifting from 6th to 2nd instead of 4th during the break-in period, and there's nothing wrong.

 

lol dont worry man... i red line my car all the time...i mean why not fast car, built strong so push it hard..if your going to race you are going to need to redline it ..you planning on switching gears at 5krpm ??... you will get smoked :P dont worry man
