Big problem....need help
So, Im sittin gettin gas today, I start up the G as usual after Im done gettin gas, left it in neutral as I was waiting for my card back, and as the RPMS dropped from initial start to idle, it stalled. No idea why, I didnt have my foot on any of the pedals, it was in N and the ebrake was up. Never had this happen before and I already checked the gas cap, it was on fine. Any ideas?

Nope, no mods as of yet, I had just cleaned my rims about 10 minutes prior (water and wheel cleaner) and cleaned up my brembos a bit with some water, but that was it. So far this is a one time thing. If it happens again, I'll bring it in I guess.

Re: Big problem....need help
Just so you know, I had something similar happen to my '03 G35 6MT coupe a few days ago. Left work, car was idling lower than normal. Never stalled, but acted like it might. The CEL came on, and since I was a mile from a dealership, I took it in.
The module for the electronic variable valve timing had failed (or was failing). Service rep said this is the 2nd one he had replaced recently. My car ONLY has 6300 miles on it, built July of 2003.
Kinda makes me nervous, since my last 2 cars (Subarus) never saw the dealership ONCE in the 120k miles total that I drove them. I like the guys at the Inifiniti dealership, but I don't want to get to know them TOO well (hehe). At least the dealership took care of me (gave me an FX35 loaner for 2 days).
Something to keep in mind if the problem gets worse!

Hmm I might just take it in then. Unfortunatly in Jersey you have to be 21 to get a loaner car, and Im 5 months shy so I hope I can wait it out. Same situation, I have 7400 miles on my G, I actually believe I also have one from July (Ill have to ask my father when he ordered it originally, or look through my giant service manual box). Oh well, thanks for the help all, hopefully this was just a one time thing.
