Help convince parents to get a 6spd

Right now I have a 04 auto coupe. I regret getting an auto and now Ive been looking for a 6spd for a while. Everything time I bring this up with my parents my dad says no. I don't know why they are trippin so bad, I will still be paying for the car. I have no trouble with the monthly payments right now. I need some tips for this to go through.

Yea, my dad is weird also. It is ok for a 5 speed BMW but not a 6 speed G. If you don't mind, are you paying for gas/insurance/car payment? Or are your parents paying some. Also what do you pay per month for the car? Yea tell your rents that it has ALOT better resale. Tell them that a 6MT is safer just for the heck of it(haha, it's worth a try). Good luck on the car man. I am trying to convince my parents as well. It's a rough process.

Wrong. The resale value depends on the region the car is for sale but the 6MT's are harder to come buy. Therefore they are a bit better on resale. Also they have the sport tuned suspension. Autotragics can be found real CHEAP. The only cheap 6MT's you find is if it need work done to it(Such as new clutch, high miles, etc).

Well if theres a whole PUNCH by you then its a different story.

lol.

6MTs go for more because its a select group who wants them, will pay more for them because they are a bit harder to find.

Do what I did, get an AT because your parents wont let you get a MT

Total it in an accident thats not your fault

Convince your parent the car saved your life so they wont buy anything but that same car again then convince them that MT is EVEN SAFER.

DISCLAIMER: Not my fault if this doesnt work / you die.

G35 is expensive to maintein.

I'm assuming you want 6MT for a sportier feel.

So consider that you will need to replace clutch, tires more often then you do on Auto.

So if you are on a budget stick with auto. Manual mode is not that bad.

yeah man, everytime i'm stuck in traffic i wish i had an AT. Badly.

I dont know how old you are, I'm guessing pretty young since your parents are able to dictate your car, so just be thankful you even have a G at all.
