Re: Tinted Windows
"AL5032nd response) Didn't think about that, but yeah it would be a lot cooler. Good point. That just made my decision go from a 50/50 to a 70/50. "
Yup. It'll keep the temp cooler AND, keep the seats from getting too hot to sit on from the direct UV rays (at least from the side of the car.) You might want to invest in a sunshade for the front window also.

Re: Tinted Windows
you mean a 30 in the back and 50 in front not 70/50. right? i dont think they even make a 70% tint. my guy tinted over the dot matrix and was able to get most of it to stick there is a little very small area where it didnt, which is normal. i would recommed you ask them how they tint those areas before you get it done cause you def want them to cover that area be it vinyl or tint. if its not covered you will def be able to see it from the out side and it will not look that great. also on the inside you wil get a strip of light that is unfiltered and be very bright.
i think it will look pretty good. i would also recommend you get maybe 35 or 40 or so in the front though, cause 50 it very light and will no block too much out.

Re: Tinted Windows
If I remember correctly you live near philadelphia? correct? If you do, I can recommend a good friend of mines that has a tint shop and does excellent work. He also did mines. I got titainium all around which isn't dark at all. The best thing about metallic tint is that it never fades unlike your average tint that fades to purple.

Re: Tinted Windows
The best approach I've seen on the large dot-matrix pattern in the back is to put a 3" or so opaque vinyl strip over it at the top, and then put the tint on below it. The one I saw looked flawless and fantastic. If you try to apply standard tint to that area, there will be bubbles that are nearly impossible to work out, even by the most skilled (which is why they use the adhesive vinyl).
Mine is completing today. I'll post pics when I get them.

Re: Tinted Windows
SHADER7: Thanks. It is interesting because you are not the first person to mention the vinyl over the top. The place that I was recommended to go get the tint done said that they do the entire back window in once piece, I am curious now as to how they deal with the dot matrix.

Re: Tinted Windows
Give them a call. I believe it's $150 to for regular tint, any percentage, and $30 more for anything metallic, like titanium. They do one whole piece for the rear glass and the dot matrix isn't a problem at all. Their address/phone is:

I have titanium all around. Only picture I could find that shows the tint on my car.
