Tinted Windows

Re: Tinted Windows
Thanks.
I would recommend on getting your windows tinted. You'll reduce heat, glare, uv rays, and gives you a bit of privacy. Deciding on color is up to you. When you get to the tint shop, see what they recommend as well, they may even have examples.

Re: Tinted Windows
metallized film does affect reception, but only up to a certain extent. It will not produce 100% blockage........only slightly distorting signal in poor signal strength areas. However, if you're looking into "mirror" tint, these will produce more distortion to your cell phone, navi, alarm transmission, radar detectors,etc..........

Re: Tinted Windows
WIL: Thanks for the advice. I think I am going to stick to the regular black tint for now. I don't need anything too fancy. Plus, I don't have to pay as much. (Still paying on two cars at the moment until I sell the one.) Anyway, interested in a conv celica?

Re: Tinted Windows
I just re-tinted my windows over the weekend. Had titanium tint (CB Coupe) and someone busted out the passenger window. Never was truly happy with the look, it was okay, but not what I wanted. Took off the rest of the tint and went with Madico Charcool in a 35%. It was perfect. Very nice clean, rich look all the way around, not too dark, but darker than you would think from looking at the sample. I was thinking of the 20% and the installer recommended 35% b/c with the angle of the glass, the black border and the dark interior on the coupe, it comes out darker than you think. Glad I went with it. Looks very very nice now. And he worked on the dots to get an almost perfect install - only a few tiny imperfections.
