26k? You can budget less than that and still end up with a pretty sweet deal in terms of what you want the car to have.

The sound system is fine. It all depends upon whom you ask. Your biggest expense in G35 Coupe ownership will be tires. Be prepared to fork over the bucks anywhere between 18-22K depending upon your driving style and your tires. You might be able to get a few more miles out of the fronts than the rears, but eventually it becomes a wash. Good luck.

I was very disapointed in the bose sound system, but hey pretty much everything else on my g was an upgrade from my old cobalt.

I purchased an '06 g35 coupe about 3 weeks ago. I did my research and spent about 1 year looking for the right one. I love EVERYTHING about this car, including the BOSE sound system. But again, it depends on who you ask. IMO the Bose is a very nice system for an average human. Honestly though, 85% of the time I'm listening to the growl of my exhaust with the windows down, sunroof open and no music!

This is how I would rate the sound system in my car:
Speaker placement: 9/10
Acoustics: 8/10
Bass: 8/10
Stereo user-friendliness: 5/10

 

I just got an 06 AT with 11k miles on it. I've gotten 19.5mpg my first few tanks and thats driving in L.A. stop n go traffic. Im thrilled its so high, i was expecting much worse. I do drive like a grandpa sometimes, but i love punching it when i get some open road.

 

That is good to know as I am about to pull the trigger on an 07 AT with 15k on it.
