I tracked my latest tank...my fuel light just came on this morning and I was at 370 miles. I didn't quite put a full tank in when I filled it up either. 04 with auto...90% highway miles. I pretty much drive 70 mph on highway, but I do mash it once in a while too. I also use the manual mode quite a bit...offramps/onramps etc.

Does anyone know approx. how much fuel is remaining in the tank when the light comes on? Wondering how much further I can go.

One way to accurately measure your fuel consumption is to fill up a full tank, remember the mileage, drive for a while, fill up again to full tank, divide the number of miles driven by the number of gallons filled up.

City mpg is never accurate since everyone has a different city cycle, some stand in traffic some drive consistently at 35 mph.

I average between 18-24MPG, more toward the 24 now that we are out of colder weather.

I usually fill up when my tank hits the 1/2 way point.....so I seldom see the light.
But I suggest filling up as soon as you see the light, subtract what you just filled up from the tank capacity...(I believe the tank is 20 gallons)...so that should tell you what's left in your tank....pretty simple math

I got about 260 from my last fill-up. Mostly local driving with premium gas. I'm glad this thread was started, I've been wondering where my gas mileage stands..

Why not just look at the Information page on the Navigation.....it tracks gas mileage automatically.

that car computer systems are taboo...i don't trust'em and havn't met a person who did. They're cool and everything for your passengers, but as far as reliable information in real world driving i wouldn't trust'em...
