I think I broke a record these last 2 days. Drove from WI to MN, about 265 miles each way for a total of 520miles. Specs:

- 90% highway 10% city
- 93 octane (Shell)
- Stock Air box and k&N
- Outside temperature, average 55 F
- Tires set to 35 psi before starting journey
- Average Speed - kept ot 72-78 (according to computer 68mph), a few spots of overtaking in 5th gear
- was not drafting a semi (stay away from those because of rock chips)
Computer says I got 25.4 mpg. I really got 24.8 mpg average on the whole trip, using the fill up method.

Reached 435 miles before light came on.

I really think stock air box (converted back 2 weeks ago) and 93 octane makes a huge difference. I was so excited, cause I don't have any long trips coming up so I will be back to low 20's in 60/40 driving.

 

i got like 275 miles to a full tank and i there was definitely some fun had during that tank

 

ill be going to Vegas from Ontario Ca.

im going to see how well my car does going and coming

 

Same as me average about 20.5 using the fill up method of checking.

On the hwy average MPH of 80 I get about 23 MPG. Running Ztube and Pop Charger no other mods.

 

i get around 360miles doing DD.....on highway I have gotten 500

 

HMMM... I was looking for one of these threads. I havent topped off Ive just been putting like 47 bucks (1/2 tanks) and Im getting like 200-215 miles on that ahlf tank. Im gonna fill it up this weekend and see how long it lasts me. I thought mine wasted gas but seeing all your stories just made me sigh, Well mine is an 03 auto completely stock all city driving. I dont do hwys cuz theyre jam packed anyway here in L.A

Also, does having the VDC off help you save gas or should I just keep it on?

 

So how much did it cost you going and coming back.I'm gonna go to Vegas in July and I wanna be prepared on how much I'm gonna spend on gas.

 

its not the car man its the gas they make it so cheap and charge almost for bucks i think they cutting down on the quality and lying to us
