Oil burning issues:

So I've been doing some research on newer G's and Z's and I'm seeing that a lot of 2005-2007 cars are burning oil. Are there exact specifications on which models are affected or is this a crap shoot? How serious is this problem and how many of you are affected?

I may be looking into getting an 05 G35 in the next few months and this news does not bode well for me.

Research is good.
Searching on Driver on that topic will return many results including a current TSB on OC issues.

what it is is the rev-up motors. witch first came out in 05. i have an 05 6mt and havent had any problems so far knock on wood. the reason for the oil burning if my knowledge is right is because one of the cylinders have a new spring in it
