So lets say a guy with a 5AT decided to upgrade to the "sports" package. You mean to tell me, Infinti will jack up the car, and replace the transmission to give that 5At VLSD?

Or, would they just upgrade the wheels and springs and the steering wheel and call it a day?

Dude, do you even know what VLSD is? It's the rear differential. I don't think anyone upgrades to the sport package as it would be too costly.

lol, ok yeah, i'm trippin. I was speaking in a FWD point of view.

But doesn't the LSD get installed in the transmission? I know it does in the FWD Integra Type R.

Ummm.... no. In FWD vehicles, the trans and diff are often in the same housing. In RWD, the trans is connected to the diff via the driveshaft. That "pumpkin", as it is often referred to, is what connects the rear axles together. Here's a pic for the mentally... I mean mechanically challenged.

'06 also had the RAS option. Here's how to tell if you have it:

Also you can tell if the aero package came from the factory or added on. If it was installed from the factory, you wouldn't have a third brake light on the rear shelf and the shelf would be clean (i.e., no holes for said brake light).
Oh that.. I did not know that..thanks for correcting me!

ok, so its directly behind the rear axle? what is ras and what does it do? ill have to check to see if i have later tonight.

edit: i did some searching and figured it out, sorry, should have done that before asking in this thread. im guessing i have it cause it seems awefully tough to get this car into a nice slide despite the decent power it has.
