Sorry guys, but I have to ask. Does the 05 sedan 5AT with the sport package have VLSD? I am thinking yes, but after 3 pages of mostly coupe info I can't be sure.

Thanks!!

From what I gather, if you have the sports package, then yes.

But on Infiniti's website. The sports package isn't available on the G37 coupe, only on the Journey and the G37 coupe with 6mt. Not available on the AWD coupe either.

Yes, the sedan also had VLSD with the sport package. You do realize that you're in a coupe forum which is why it's all coupe info don't you?

anyone want to do a wheel spin test? basically jack up the rear and spin one of the wheels. then take a note on which direction is the other wheel spinning.

So just state your transmission: and if both wheels spins in the same direction or opposite direction.

I do, but I am all over this board trying to learn as much as I can about all of our cars. I might end up buying a coupe as well someday, and they say "Knowledge is power". Don't know who 'they' are but they're right.

Peace...

here is the link for 05 coupes and 05 sedans and their respective specs. that should help you distinguish if you have VLSD. Go to the specs tab.

You can jack up both wheels to check for the VLSD or for a quicker check use your scissor jack, jack up one rear wheel off the ground. Take off the ebrake, and try to turn the tire/wheel, if the tire turns easily you have an open diff. If the tire turns but gives some resistance it is a VLSD. If you decide to get a clutch type LSD later on the wheel will not turn at all. This test should only take 5 min.

shouldn't the opposite wheel spin in a different direction?
