i have an 05 DG 6MT and it seems as if i have an open diff, did the G's not get a VLSD? mine is the premium, sport package w NAV. half the time i can get it sideways and then others the inside wheel will spin like crazy, even on flat pavement. . . maybe a stupid question but i have a J30 diff in my 92 240 and it is waaaay better then the G. . . anyone else experience this?

 

How many miles on the car? What kind of differential fluid are you using?

 

There was a mix up on the 05's regarding the LSD. It was listed as being standard with the sports package, but that was only on the 6MT. So, you should have it. The auto guys got screwed.

 

Actually, it did come standard on the sports package even with auto. The mix up came when it was stated that it came with the Tire and Performance package. The 2003-2004 Tire and Performance package had VLSD standard. They removed the VLSD on the Tire and Performance package in 2005+ and put it on the Sports Package.

 

not sure on the diff fluid, i havent changed it. and how do i know if i got the VLSD, does it have a sticker like the J30 diff did? mine came with the 19" rays wheel package but it didnt come with the front lip(i bought that and installed it).

 

i know this is an old thread, but this is the closest ive found to my question from searching. i have a 2006 AT coupe with the 19" rays but no front lip. do i have the sport/premium package and do i have an lsd or not?

I really doubt automatics have LSD...

 

judging by the manners of the rear tires, that was my guess but thought i would check. do you know how i would determine if i have the sport, premium, or aero packages?

 

I believe you will have orange stitching on the steering wheel if you have the sport suspension.

No, I meant rear underbody diffusers. No package came with the front lip. See this link for pics and where they are:

Also you can tell if the aero package came from the factory or added on. If it was installed from the factory, you wouldn't have a third brake light on the rear shelf and the shelf would be clean (i.e., no holes for said brake light).
