Re: Coupe rear spoiler - can't decide
I ordered a 6 MT DG/G with aero w/o spoiler. My dealer located exactly what I want but with the spoiler. They have ordered a new trunk lid w/o spoiler and it is supposed to be ready by Friday. BTY they said I could have the car with the spoiler at no extra cost, but I said no thanks.

Re: Coupe rear spoiler - can't decide
I wanted a spoiler at first but the car I bought didn't have one. The dealer was going to throw one in for free. While I was waiting for that to happen, I started liking the look without the spoiler. I started having second thoughts. But I figured it was free at this point so I'd go through with it. Once it was on, my first reaction was it belonged there. And I haven't regretted getting it.

Re: Coupe rear spoiler - can't decide
I initially didn't want the spoiler, but it began to grow on me as I looked at more coupes with and without it. Also, at the time (May/June '03) none of the 6MTs were being delivered without them. I could have ordered one that way, but I would have missed the summer driving season, and this is pretty much a warm-weather car. I prefer the look of it now with the spoiler, but I also like it without. If I had it to do all over again, and had the choice, I'd probably opt for the spoiler again.

Re: Coupe rear spoiler - can't decide
You can kind of tell from the all the previous posts that most of us like the car either way.....a real tribute to how good the car looks!
I think the picture above with the Gialla lip spoiler is really much nicer than the OEM...if I didn't already have the OEM spoiler I would get the Gialla (or I believe Date Systems has a similar one?).

Re: Coupe rear spoiler - can't decide
Yesterday I posted that the dealer was going to switch the trunk lid, because I did not oder a spoiler. Today he told me it can't be done because of the brake light on the rear deck and the spacing of the speakers, but he also said he located a car with exactly what I want. This is the third different story in two weeks. If he delivers the car Saturday as promised, I will have no complaints.

Re: Coupe rear spoiler - can't decide
Got lucky. The dealer found a diamond graphite (my first choice) with graphite leather and rear spoiler. I pick it up today. I am very happy I went with the factory spoiler (and especially happy about the diamond graphite). The car was trucked down from Philadelphia - I did not want 120 miles on the odometer. Thanks for all of the opinions. I agree with the majority that the factory spoiler with rear light gives the car a sporty appearance. I'm off to go get it.

Re: Coupe rear spoiler - can't decide
To me, the rear spoiler makes the whole look of the car. Like some other people said already, it just gives it a more aggressive look. I hate when I see another G35 on the road without the rear spoiler. It just doesn't look right to me. If I were you I'd definitely get the spoiler.

How are the Aftermarket spoilers installed?
meaning the Gialla the Impul or the Data Systems?
and is the installation easy?
