Coupe Gas Tank Fill Problem

Like a few on here, i've had intermittent issues with not being able to fill up an empty tank. Different pumps, stations, states, sometimes it will just take 2-5 gallons then cut off. If i squeeze the handle slightly, it'll continue filling up. Sound familiar?

I've been complaining to the dealership for a while, but this last time, the tech that was working on it said his niece's coupe had the same issue. Replaced the Schrader valve and it was gone. Getting it done as soon as i empty this tank. Will update if this ends up fixing it. Hope this helps others. Be nice to put this issue to rest...

You mean the shutter valve, and this is a TSB that has been out for a while. Your dealer should have known about it.

Mine was "fixed" and it got better but still isn't fixed. It's annoying and seems picky to pumps, I have a local idea of where to/not to go.

Had the same issue fixed by the dealership under warranty, one of the fuel level sensors went bad.

Will they still fix it if the car is out of warranty?
