overlay's

Blue bat shipped them last week so i'm waiting for them to come. Now my question is would it be easier to remove the tailights to put them on or leave them on? Also, any tips on doing the rear valence strip? Someone should make a video DIY, maybe I will (and hopefully won't screw them up)

I'd take the overlays to a tint shop.

^^^ Yea but that's also taking a risk. A lot of people said to do it yourself because a tint shop can also mess it up since they do windows which are mostly flat unlike our taillights.

BUT if they mess it up they'll most likely have to buy you another set of overlays

How would they not pay for it? It's a shop, if they agree to do the work, they have to pay for anything they damage on your car or thats your property. The overlays are yours, so if they **** it up I'd expect to be fully reimbursed for them.

I had mine done at a tint shop, the guy had a hand steadier than a ****ing machine!

I can't comment on the tails but I did the rear valence which came out great. Start with the valence and move on to your tails which I hear are more difficult. Post up your pics when you're done!

was sup kids....leave them on there...it gives u a place to help u pressure the vinyl if it needs to be stretched and heated....

some tint shops will try and do the install and if they failwill blame the vinyl and tell u to buy there stuff....if ur socal ill be happy to do ur install, i had a thread here for a while until it got deleted...you can ask people about my installs as well...

let me know if you need more help or wanna schedule an appointment... Andy aka Blue_bat has be busy this coming weeks

I also just wanted to give my props to O HELLA JDM. He did an excellent job with my install and they still look great even after my trip from CA to WA. Just search my posts for pics and you will see what a great job he did with my overlays. I highly recommend his work and hes a great guy. Thanks again bro.
