About a month ago I posted that my coupe was burning/losing oil. It loses about 1/4 of a quart every 1300 miles. Since my last post I just filled it up to full and drove another 1300 miles or so. Anyway, it went a quarter of a quart low again.

I took it to the dealer and the head mechanic said that it was within normal spec. That it is normal to burn oil half a quart between oil changes. And I'm assuming their interval is 3k miles. I also called Infiniti Consumer Affairs and they told me the same thing per Nissan Engineers.

Are any of you experiencing a similar thing? I put Mobil 1 Synthetic in my engine and change every 5k miles. I now have 11.6k miles. I first changed my oil around 2,500 miles.
