Help me out guys please :)

Hey guys,
first off, i would like to appologize if you've seen this type of thread many times.
anyway..I'm currently driving 2004 Acura TL, and wanna try out coupe cars.
So..i have 2 choices. 2008 Nissan Altima coupe or an used Infiniti G35 coupe. Because i didn't want any mortgage and loan, i decided to stick with an used Infiniti G35 coupe.
so far, i've come across 3 cars.
1. 2003 G35 coupe pearl white. It has projector xenon headlights and 20" rims, which i think are aftermarkets.
2. 2004 G35 coupe silver. It has rear spoiler.
3. 2005 G35 coupe light blue. it has MP3 player.
For first choice, i don't have to add any money. I can simply sell my TL, then get that car. As for second one, I might have to add around 3000 CAD. and the third one might require me to add around 6K CAD.
So..what do you pros suggest? Any major differences between these 3 models? I've noticed that 2005 and after G35 coupe models come equipped with Mp3 player, so i was just wondering any other differences that you guys could point out.
Thanks a lot for helping me out guys, really appreciate it.

I had a 05 acura tl before. Didnt really enjoy FWD so I traded in the tl and bought a 05 g35c black w/ spoilers last year. 05 model is got an upgraded engine with 18 more hp than the previous model and the redline is extended to 7k. Also, it comes with 19in rims if u are getting stick. u can expect a higher resale value. 05 model is also got one year of manufacturing warranty left. i would highly recommend this option. hope this helps.

Funny, we were in the same boat. Looking at a brand new 2008 Altima Coupe or a used G35. If you were in the market for a $25-$28k Altima, do yourself a favor and buy a 2006 G35 Coupe.

Sure, you can save by buying a 2003 or 2004, but get a newer one. You'll most likely get warranty, lower miles, a better interior, and overall, a higher value.

You can find 2005s for around $24k and a 2006 for around $27k. Both are based on what we were looking at - DG, Sport Package, 6MT, Sunroof, STOCK everything, etc. We ended up with a 2006 with less than 22K miles. We are so happy we decided on a used Coupe vs. a new Altima coupe...

Buy what you feel is best for you. An MP3 player is no way to decide between years.

Ask yourself a few questions:

1) Do you want 6MT or Auto?
2) Do you want things like the Aero Package, Premium Package, Sports Package, etc.?
3) Price.
4) Miles and warranty - are they important?
5) Want it all stock (Lease end, etc.) or modded?
6) Color important?

There are obviously more questions to ask, but they are some good basic ones...

Not trying to be nosey.. but if you are worried about the house... then are you looking forward to kids??

If you are trying to save money, and plan on having kids while you are still in this car, maybe you look at the sedan?

I was always a coupe person, until I drove a Sedan.... and MAN are they fun too... true the Coupe > Sedan.... but the Sedan>>>>> that the Altima Coupe

Dont get the first one because its modded so most likely the last owner drove the car hard... and its an 03 the first year the G came out so its most likely to have the most problems...

i say get the 05... any links or pics?

Firstly, thanks a lot for your indepth opinions buddy.
Well, transmission type is not a big factor for me, although i prefer MT over auto. To be honest with you, i'm here asking you guys newb questions because i have no clue about those packages at all. Even when i tried to look for information, they never mention them in details. I would say price and color is the most important factors for me. Since i'm still a full time Biochemistry student, i don't wanna add too much money to get a car after selling my TL for 21000CAD. As for color, as long as if it's not silver, i'm fine.

Are there exterior differences between 2004 and 2005 G35 coupe?

Tail lights, head lights, spoiler (in 06), and that's really it... Externally speaking.

^+1...

updated interior in 05+ = newer gauge cluster (brighter, RPMs now on left and Speedometer now on right) and dash positions (clock)

updated package in 05+ = premium package now comes with OEM 19" rims

updated engine in 05+ = rev-up motor with 18+ more hp and redline increased to 7k

updated suspension in 05+ = stiffer sport suspension (premium package only),

updated exterior in 06+ = headlights (projectors, no more clearance strip),front turn signals are now clear instead of amber and now only come on when signaled (in previous models they would remain on if your headlights were on), tail lights (rectangle reverse lights and indented tail lights), spoiler(smaller more classy), side skirts (more aggressive), front bumper (more aggressive),

updated interior in 06+ = seat position memory (3 individual settings), seat belt holders, bluetooth option for stock bose radio (premium package only)

updated suspension in 06+ = RAS or Rear Active Steering (optional only)

updated keyfob/key/alarm in 06+ = (Automatic only) intelligent keyfob with door handle button alarm activation/deactivation and keyless start

whew.......... i think that covers everything, plz add anything that i forgot/correct anything that is wrong

In general, newer and lower miles would get my vote if all options are consistent. And I have the lakeshore slate, which should be the light blue you refer to.
