anyone wish the MM was toward the driver instead of the passenger ? My CL-S had the MM set that way and it seemed to fit better ergonomically. Not that I would ever go back, just wishin' It could be switched.

 

Yah it is a little awkward when I switch it into MM and end up touching my thigh at the same time.

i wish it's like the bmw m3 smg shifter, to shift to higher gear, you have to tap/pull down instead of up. like most of racing cars (gt/rally, etc.)

 

funny this should come up. Just last night I was fooling around in MM and down shifting going into a curve and as I went to drop it into 2nd it accidentally slid over to drive, well let me tell ya, going back into auto mode and having the car upshift when I was using the engine for braking was not good. The car got unsettled and twitchy, now if the MM was on the left this would not have happen since the natural tendency is for you to pull down and towards you instead of away.

now if we all lived in japan, the MM would be towards the driver, eh? that's why a lot of our gadgets are a little awkward or further out of reach than we'd want, like the MM and volume control on the radio.
