orljmh, you didn't come off aggressively at all. I was just making sure that I wasn't insulting you or misunderstanding you. =)
I initially offered the advice so that other 6MT drivers who are having the same problem are not just blaming themselves. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's driver error or the transmission's.

I had the same issues, and thought it was my sloppy driving until the shift know and trans started "floating" while in gear. Literally I'd have it in 3rd and I could move the shifter east and west like it was in neutral. They replaced it but I feel like the synchro's are going out again. Missing 5th to the right isn't a good sign. There's nothing to the right, so why would it miss there???
