SHIFT_whoom!

i love hearing the "whoom" sound in between shifts at redline. do 5AT owners hear this too? i guess, but im thinking it's more pronounced on the 6MTs?

Re: SHIFT_whoom!

Yes I too get the whoom in MM, but I can imagine yours may be a little more intense. The thing I love the most is the sound of first and second....will the Z-Tube help me get the great exhaust sound throughout gears???

Re: SHIFT_whoom!

Ive always heard the Z tube/pop charger produces a whistling noise at lower revs. If this is so, our cars do this stock. Finally nice enough weather to drive with the windows open. If thats the sound thats amplified by the Z-T/PC combo, how much louder is it. I loooooooove the whistle at the beginning of the gear and redlining to shifts....hahah ungodly sounding. I truly am still convinced this motor sounds like an F1 car when your going crazy on it.

Re: SHIFT_whoom!

I have the short ram K&N intake and that whistle is awesome at low speed revs and growls past 3500 rpm. Sounds like a stang! I actually had someone ask me what I had under the hood when they heard my go by.

2 G or NOT 2 G, there is no question!

Re: SHIFT_whoom!

Funny ones music is anothers distaste - I asked once before if the goose honking under the hood is for real. I hate it, a last push for power but with nothing more to give except a goose honk!!! - how undignified.

Re: SHIFT_whoom!

The motor starting sound - this is great. I love the throaty rumble - like you mean business. But the high rev last few rpms before the next gear, as you push the clutch in to change....there's that goose honk again!!

I love the how the car sounds like its never going to top out or run out of power - I always shift ~7k if I am not in traffic.
